Colorado River Adventures announces opening of newest RV park
Colorado River Adventures, a membership campground system, recently announced the opening of their newest campground affiliate, Havasu Springs Resort. Located on the shores of Lake Havasu, Havasu Springs Resort is located on the Arizona side between Lake Havasu City and Parker. Amenities include pull-through RV sites, tennis courts, heated pool, golf course, and boat launch.

The Rally selects Louisville as site for 2010 gathering
The 11th annual gathering of RVers at The Rally is scheduled for July 22-25 in Louisville, Kentucky. Thousands of RVers attend The Rally each year, which organizers promote as the "Greatest RV Rally in the World."

Missouri state park system braces for massive layoffs
More than 100 Missouri State Parks employees will be losing their jobs in the coming months. This stems from a dramatic decline in revenue from the one-tenths of a cent park sales tax. The Division of State Parks does not get general revenue from the state.
About 715 people currently work for the state's parks.

RV destroyed by fire from unattended candle
A fire destroyed two recreational vehicles two months apart, according to Nassau County, Florida fire officials. Nassau County Fire Rescue responded to an RV fire in Callahan. Fire officials said the RV was used as a permanent home and was destroyed by the fire. Fire investigators said that this was the second RV fire at this property in as many months, both from the use of a burning candle.
