On Veterans Day this Wednesday, November 11, all veterans can eat free at the following Twin Cities restaurants and enjoy other complimentary Veterans Day perks all day in honor of past and present soldiers.
Applebee's: Veterans eat for free from a six item menu with proof of service. Open at all Twin Cities Applebees locations.
Seven the Steakhouse: If you are a veteran, you can come to Seven in downtown Minneapolis for a complimentary dinner from their special menu or a discount off the main menu. Make sure to reserve ahead of time: (612) 238-7777 or through the restaurant's website. 700 Hennepin Ave

Keegan's Pub: Keegan's Pub in Minneapolis will be decorated with all the service flags and every member of the armed forces and every veteran will get his or her first drink free. Happy Hour will be served from 3-6 p.m. 16 University Avenue Northeast (across from Surdyk's) Minneapolis, MN 55413.
Lowe's: This home improvement retailer will offer a 10 percent discount to active-duty, National Guard and reserve members, retirees, veterans and their immediate family members through Nov. 15, in honor of Veterans Day. Customers must present a military ID card or other proof of service. The Lowe's discount can be used on purchases up to $5,000 with a maximum discount of $500. Store purchase only. Home Depot: Men and women in the military service can enjoy a 10% Military Discount (save up to $200 in store) at Home Depot through November 11, 2009. Find the nearest Home Depot near you.
Cabela's: Cabela's is having a Hometown Heroes Celebration on November 11th and 12th. They are offering Employee Discounts to Military Personnel, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firemen and EMS. Must present government ID for in-stock store merchandise only.
Grace for Vets: Sponsoring free car washes in two participating places in the Twin Cities and two in southern Minnesota.
