On November 14th at 6 pm, Free the Hops will be teaming up with the Autism Society of Alabama to raise money for autism research.  Brews for Clues will be held at Sloss Furnaces, and will be featuring food provided by area restaurants (menu below) and beer pairings for the dishes.  100% of proceeds will go to the Autism Society of Alabama.

This is a chance for both organizations to raise awareness for their causes. The Autism Society of Alabama will be able to raise funds and awareness for autism in Alabama.  This is the most important part of this function and a very worthy cause.  Free the Hops hopes, as a side bonus to a great event,  this will teach people that beer and food can be paired to further enhance the flavor experience.  Many people think that only wines can be paired with dishes, but this is a misconception.  With so many styles of beer that can challenge different parts of your palate, they can easily be paired with foods to bring out further flavors.  This event is a chance to help raise awareness for autism and help enhance beer culture in Birmingham at the same time.  The event is a fantastic opportunity for both organizations.

Tickets can be purchased at the website for $22.00 or you can purchase them at the gate for $27.00.  This will include food, beer, and live music by Honeybaked.  If you are worried about missing the game because this is on a Saturday, they will have both the Alabama and Auburn games on big screens as well.  All bases are covered here, people.    You cannot get dinner and drinks anywhere for $22 to $27, let alone while supporting a great organization and cause.  This is a great event all around, so go out and support the Autism Society of Alabama and learn more about Birmingham's beer culture.
