Where did transparency go? It's behind closed doors....

These are Barack Obama's exact words. Even at press meetings he has reiterated the same thing....transparency; we could count on it. Now for the truth of what's happening.
Patricia Murphy of Politics Daily writes:
"[T]op White House officials are now meeting in the Capitol with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sens. Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Max Baucus of Montana, away from Republicans and the press...."
And Fox News reports on this daily as well. Yet no one seems to want to ask Obama why he's not following through on this monumental promise. Why he's not ordering Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Max Baucus to open up those doors and let not only the Republican senators in....but how about the American people as well? Ultimately this will affect us all, yet no one else is allowed in. Now....to make matters worse, and here's where the embarrassment really begins for the Democrats
Jeffrey Young with The Hill writes:
"Two senators at the forefront of healthcare reform went to great lengths Tuesday to brag about how open and transparent the legislative process has been. Then, they resumed prepping for another closed-door meeting."
If that wasn't bad enough, Max Baucus had the audacity, the unmitigated gall to say:
"I have not been involved in such an open and transparent process as this. I'm very, very proud that we have done it... it's so important to remind ourselves that no effort that I've been involved in and I don't think anyone else in the Senate's been involved with - certainly nothing with such significance and magnitude - has been so open and transparent as this. Totally open and transparent and I'm very proud of it."
One has to really wonder where it ends. I know that around here folks are most assuredly talking about this. And while most cannot repeat Obama's words exactly....they remember him making these grandiose promises. Sen. Chris Dodd picked up after Baucus and said:
"Let me pick up on the point that Sen. Baucus was making. The suggestion somehow that this is being done otherwise is just blatantly false and a distraction from [what] we need to be talking about."
What do we need to be talking about Chris? No one that follows politics doesn't already know about this....no one! But to add insult to injury these people come out and lie about it. They truly believe that we are that stupid. So....it's a matter of yelling loudly at these so-called lawmakers, that the American people want to know what's going on; we have that right as WE are your employers, not YOU! We the people will dictate to you what will be, and if they have a problem with that, then everyone will quickly tell them to go and refresh their memories about what the Constitution says. It's very clear, WE hold the power, not Congress.
These people are scheming, and they're planning on scamming us, cheating us, and they plan on continuing to lie to us, and sadly, too many are just sitting idly by and doing nothing to stop them....nothing! This is not how people want to be treated, and it's a sure bet that if you lied to any one of these people, they'd be raising some serious cane. And you know....it begs the question; what else are Pelosi, Reid, Baucus et al lying about? What more is Barack Obama lying to us about? Has this president been a lie from day one? It certainly is starting to look like it.
Yes....the bigger question is, and say this out loud to yourself if it helps: "What else is Barack Obama and his minions lying to us about, us the American people? How deep does it go?" We can only guess at this point, and it's sad....very, very sad.
