The Denver Zoo is a fun place to visit regardless of age. The zoo strives to recreate animals' natural habitats and is planning on a new phase of development for the elephants.

Several demonstrations are performed each day by keepers and animals to better educate the public on animal behavior and lifestyle. Check out the board located centrally once you enter the zoo.

It takes at least half a day to see everything so plan accordingly. Refreshments are reasonable and available throughout.

The zoo is open 365 days a year. From March 1 - November 1 the zoo is open to the public from 9AM to 5PM. November 2  - February 28 hours are 10AM to 4PM.

Admission varies depending on age and seaons. Tickets can be purchased online.

The zoo is located on 23rd between Colorado (to the East) and York (to the West). Check bus routs on www.rtd-denver.com
