If you've never been to Vail, or have passed it by on I-70 because you couldn't think of something affordable to do, here's your chance to visit and experience that amazingly beautiful place.

Aside fromr a smorgasbord of festivals, there are ongoing events for FREE.

"Art in the Gardens" is a summer long FREE weekly event offering a variety of workshops for photographers of all skill levels. Workshops will be lead by local outdoor photographer, Jon Sheppard.

Sheppard will help shutter bugs improve nature shots with lessons on technique as well as offering critiques of photos. Some of the photos from these workshops will be on display in the Vail Public Library during the 2009-2010 winter season.

For foodies, Vail will bring in Chefs from local restaurants to do live food demonstrations.

If you're into paddle sports, Alpine Quest Sports will be offering five weeks of FREE instruction on whitewater kayaking every Tuesday evening at 5PM. This even begins this coming Tuesday evening at the whitewater park in the village.

There's something for everyone in Vail this summer regardless of income or investment status. Check out the web links below for the summer event calendar.
