Irises from garden
To enjoy Irises later, they need to be planted in the Fall

It is time to start thinking about bulbs - where to add and where to re-arrange.

You can pick up your bulbs within the next month but if you are going to order them online or from a catalog, you need to get that done now. Last year I ordered some Iris bulbs on September 5 and I didn’t get them until mid-October so I am placing my orders today.

Bulb planting in the Fall always seems like wasted time, until the wonderful flowers start popping their heads up in the Spring.

There are hundreds of types of bulbs to choose from like, lilies, tulips irises in just as many colors. They can be ordered online, from catalogs or picked up locally.

The great thing is they keep coming back year after year so by spending time planting them now, you will get years of enjoyment.
