pumpkin seeds
 Here mice, mice, mice

Our cats are great mousers when the weather is warmer. We have acreage and they will scour the grounds, making sure field mice, moles and their little friends all stay away from the house. If they get too close, one of the cats will make them an example and leave the body at our doorstep.

But in the colder month, our cats spend the majority of their day inside and preferably by the woodstove! We haven’t noticed any mice but our neighbor has which he brought up by mentioning he hadn’t seen our cats around lately. Apparently, our cats have been keeping his yard mice free as well! LOL

He was trying to trap them but didn’t seem to have the right “bait” as they were passing up both cheese and peanut butter. We passed on our never fail mouse bait – pumpkin seeds. It’s true; they can’t seem to resist them!

I’m glad to say he tried using the pumpkin seeds (reluctantly) and came over today to thank us because the pumpkin seeds drew the mice right to the traps. Oh and yes, he was using humane traps.
