Fresh from the garden!

Using the pipe as a stake to hold up the tomato, sink the drilled end into the soil and tie up the plant. It is okay if a couple of the holes are above ground level as long as most of them are buried. Since the pipe is hollow, you can not only water the plant by pouring it through the pipe, but add liquid fertilizer (such as miracle grow) as well. It is a very efficient way to get it down to the roots without wasting any.

When the season is over, simply store them away and use them season after season.

With all this sunshine, many tomatoes are in the need of staking - again. One clever little trick is to use PVC pipe. Why PVC pipes you ask? Because with a little help from you, this pipe can save you a lot of time and can help your tomatoes increase in size and production!

First pick up some inexpensive 2-inch PVC pipe at the hardware store. You will need 4-5 feet in length for each tomato plant. Now randomly drill ¼ inch holes up to about 6 inches from one end.
