baked cauliflower
Try Tony's yummy cauliflower!

Baked cauliflower is extremely tasty and a great way to get kids (or other non-cauliflower lovers) to eat this healthy vegetable. These are two recipes we use, the first one was given to us by our friend Tony and the other one is an adaption I made when I wanted to try using a whole head. They are both really, really good and are a perfect side dish during the Holidays.

2.     Remove leaves and wash cauliflower. Break apart the floweret’s and place in prepared baking dish.

3.     Drizzle with olive oil and then cover with breadcrumb/garlic/cheese mixture

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees - spray a round baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.

  1. Remove leaves and wash cauliflower. Leaving whole, steam head (in steamer or microwave) until tender.
  2. While cauliflower is steaming, mix together bread crumbs, cheese, garlic and paper flakes in cereal bowl
  3. Spray steamed cauliflower head liberally with PAM
  4. Generously coat the head of cauliflower with the breadcrumb mixture making sure the entire head is well coated.
  5. Place coated head in baking dish and spray the coated head again with PAM – this will ensure the coating stays on the head.
  6. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until golden brown
Our fresh produce recipes show it is as easy to eat well as it is to open a box!
