    Bat Guano works!

Bats are a gardener’s friend. And while we will go over that in another article this one will cover the little treasure these creatures leave us: bat guano or bat dung, whichever you prefer.

Bat Guano is a safe, non-toxic organic fertilizer: for both people and pets. There are many different types of bat guano available from dried to liquid to pellets. All of them are naturally high in nitrogen packed with phosphorus

With Bat Guano you get the advantage of the micronutrients and its organic, biological benefits added to your soil. It can be can be used as a top dressing (and then watered in), tilled into soil and/or diluted in water.

You can apply Bat Guano on both your indoor plants and your outside gardens. We will be using it after our garden beds are cleaned out. We have had good success with it, especially on our raspberries, fruit trees and flowers.

Seabird guano is also worth checking out!
