As a follow-up to the to the article I wrote reviewing the 7 rules to Grandparenting, I suggest reading the following articles.  I want to steer you two writers and their articles on the same topic.  One is from the point of view of grandfathers, and the other is a more in-depth article on the importance of rule number one---seal your lips!

Michael Milligan’s article on being a grandfather is hilarious.  His  practical, down-to-earth, and on target advice to grandfathers is excellent.

Noted author, Anne Roiphe’s article, ‘Grandmothers Should Be Seen and Not Heard,’ one of the essays from Eye of My Heart,  is also an interesting and insightful read.

Find out where you fit in as a grandparent.  For some fun facts on Grandparents, read the article regarding senior living on About.com.   interesting statistics and other information about such things as where many senior caregivers live, the economic circumstances of grandparents who provide care for their grandchildren, and other interesting information. And finally, for a good all-around resource for grandparents, visit Cyberparent.com.
