How much tax is too much tax?

It seems everyone would automatically say all tax is too much, but it seems reasonable that each one of use has a debt to pay for living in the best country on this earth. Each citizen who is able should pay his part; pay it proudly because even as messed up as this country is, it still is way better than most other places.
What is unclear is what is a fair amount for certain people to pay. Should a stay at home mom pay les of the burden than a man who works 50 hours a week at some crap job? Should a cop pay less of the burden because of the dangers of his job?
The point to all of this is this, the Government must get away from playing rich against poor, have’s verse the Have not’s, get the spending under control and come up with some fair percentage that is an equal burden on every citizen.
Some form of a flat tax is what we as a country should be striving for. Each citizen’s burden for the government should be some round number like 15%. IF one of us goes out and makes 100 dollars he kicks in 15 dollars to help fund the government.
Of curse Liberals will automatically run out and say Rich people should pay more. Personally this argument doesn’t hold any water. How does one define rich? Compared to some I could be called rich, compared to others I am a pauper. What makes a guy rich?
More than that though, Liberals fail to tell anyone, or fail to understand that if everyone is paying 15% of their income, than Rich people are already paying more. In some cases a whole lot more. For example my 15% would not be the same as Donald Trump’s 15%.
I find it terribly distasteful that the government taxes people at 41% and higher. Can anyone imagine that losing half of the money you earned before it is even given to you? That is crap, and it is one of the things that is ruining America.
If the Government constantly takes from the rich, to give to the poor, eventually we all will be poor or the rich will simply leave. Then the Liberals would start taxing the next richest people, until we are all poor.
There is a fundamental flaw in this take from the rich and give to the poor style of government. If one gets something for nothing they will continue to do nothing. Why? Because it works.
By giving people something for nothing the Government is slowly destroying the thing within Americans that made America great. The government is not teaching the citizenry that for all things there is a price that must be paid. If everyone was paying into their share of the reward then the country wouldn’t be so bad off.
As it stands now many get a free ride of the hard work of others. This is the start of the recipe for disaster. Once these people get stuff for nothing they teach their children how to get something for nothing. Eventually you have very few people working to get ahead and far too many people standing with their hands out.
