Paris Jackson briefly spoke at her father’s memorial and in just those few moments taught the world that above everything else, Michael Jackson was a Dad. While the headlines focused on Jackson’s legal and financial troubles, his personal life was only seen at a superficial level.
The birth of Michael’s children was riddled with speculation and doubt. His choice to cover their faces was judged without considering his reasons. But every person who was close to Michael Jackson, all say the same thing: he loved his children very much and that he was a wonderful Father.
Below are three videos that show a glimpse of Michael and his children. In the first video, it is Christmas in Neverland and at one point Michael is filming little Prince just like any other proud Dad. There is also a small amount of footage of them in Disneyland.
In the second video, it is Prince’s second birthday and there is some film of him just spending time with Prince and Paris: even teaching them a dance. At the end, it is Paris’s birthday and he asks her what she wants to do with her life and she says she wants to be like him, to sing and dance.
The third video is the last part of a TV special where Michael talks about his children and explains why he covered their faces while they were in public. The last thing Michael says is “I love my children very much. I’m proud to be their Dad.”
