Miley Cyrus on August Elle magazine cover
Miley Cyrus is stepping away from her Hannah Montana character in the August 2009 Elle magazine.
On the cover she is seen in a tight black leather jacket with a teaser for what the article inside covers: "Dad, boyfriends and why she’s not a kid anymore".
To bring the not a kid anymore angle home, in one pose she is lying down on a table in a black dress and thigh high boots. She certainly is looking more grown up.
Parents of Miley Cyrus and/or Hannah Montana fans will notice you can see the top of her bra in the Elle cover shot but that is about it. And she is 16 now so I guess we should be glad she has all her clothes on and she isn’t wearing a ton of makeup. In fact she is hardly wearing any makeup at all.
In the Elle article Cyrus talks about her upcoming clothing line (Wal-Mart): 'The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line. Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don't have it available.'
The singer/actress also commented on being friends with other teen stars, specifically Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato: 'It's hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick and Demi, we don't need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on."
