Octo-Mom gets photograghed alone again - for
Mom of 14, she sure is out alone a lot.
Nadya Suleman appears to have a way of using and then dismissing people: from the sperm donor to her own parents to Dr. Phil. After Angels in Waiting and Dr. Phil have attempted to assure the well being of the Octuplets they are now “going to take a respectful step back.” Leaving the unemployed Octo-Mom to hire her own Nannies and use the services of the hospital staff which according to her Lawyer she is paying for
Linda West-Conforti stated that “As nurses, we monitor parent/child interaction. That’s just part of what we do. I’ve been doing this for 25 years. We monitor if the mom is not in the room. We monitor if the mom has been in the house for 12 hours and never poked her head in to see how the kids have been feeding and how they’ve been doing through the night. This occurred time and time again. This woman fed her babies eight times in five days.”
It seems that Dr. Phil, Allred and AIW have been very concerned over the transparency issue. With 14 children in one house, it is critical to know that they are all safe and cared for 24/7. While everyone (including Suleman and her lawyer) originally agreed to this they are now asking that all nannies sign a non-disclosure form, preventing them from speaking of anything that happens in the house. So apparently Nayda will be able to say and/or act, anyway she wants (as well as let in the media and people who are ill) and the nannies can only keep their job if they turn the other way? Sounds like a great plan and one that is sure to have been put into solely to cover Suleman’s behind, not to aid the children in anyway.
After speaking about the transparency issue Dr. Phil gave thanks (by name) to all the people who worked with him and donated their services from building and furnishing the Octuplet’s custom nursery, the other children’s bedrooms, and the replacement of all the flooring.
Dr. Phil asked Conforti, “At this point, what is your main concern as you exit this situation?” To which she answered: “My main concern is, from what I understand, Kaiser has shown up every other day. My main concern is what is happening that day that Kaiser is not there.” “The communication breakdown: How can I talk to Nadya when she is out shopping? How can I talk to Nadya when she is up in her bedroom reading 200 letters, versus coming down and feeding her babies? Nadya only fed her babies — the only requested time that I did not have to track Nadya down to say, ‘Hey, why don’t we do this feeding?’ is when a film crew was in her house. That was the only time that woman volunteered to feed a child. And I’ll tell you what happened during one episode, she was done feeding, she picked up the child, gave it to me on my chest, she didn’t burp it, she didn’t change the diaper, she walked out of that room, and I didn’t see her for another 12 hours, so talk about a lack of communication. Where was that woman? And if she’s not around, she doesn’t give me a cell phone — this woman does not care for these kids. That’s my honest opinion. She is here for the paparazzi, the media —”
