The woman who tried to sell "gothic kittens," complete with ear, tail and neck piercings, has been formally charged with animal cruelty and conspiracy.

Holly Crawford, 34 is the owner of a dog-grooming business: Pawside Parlor and has stated that she will plead innocent. According to the Associated Press, Crawford stated that she has never seen any difference between piercing a cat and piercing a human.

The cat piercing was done by Crawford while William Blansett, 37, handled calls and emails concerning the gothic cats who they were selling for $400 each. Both Crawford and Blansett have been charged with 3 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty, 3 summary counts of cruelty and 3 counts of conspiracy.
