Mam bottles
All Mam bottles and nipples are safe

We make sure that what we give our children to drink is safe and surely we are serving it in safe containers, right? Not necessarily. All bottles and/or bottle nipples are safe for our children! Many have been found to contain harmful chemicals such as PVC or Bisphenol-A (BPA) and Phthalates. Here is a run down of what to look for and avoid.

Safe Baby Products - Baby Bottles
Glass bottles are a safe choice along with colored plastic bottles and clear plastic ones which are labeled BPA-free. If you are unsure, check the bottom of the plastic bottle for the recycle codes: #2 HDPE, #4 LDPE, or #5 PP are not known to leek any harmful substances.

Examples
All Born Free
All Mam bottles
Playtex's include their original nurser, and their drop in liners

Unsafe Baby Products - Baby Bottles
Baby bottles have gotten safer over the years but we still must keep our eyes out for any plastic ones that are NOT labeled BPA-free. While most bottles are safe, I would still worry about any older, handed down bottles that you got second-hand

Safe Baby Products - Baby Bottle Nipples
Purchase silicone (clear) nipples that are made of medical grade, which is the highest standard. It does not contain PVC or Bisphenol-A, Phthalates.

Examples
Avent Fast Flow Silicone Nipple
Born Free Nipple sets
Mam including Sassy sets

Unsafe Baby Products - Baby Bottle Nipples
Yellow rubber and or latex nipples, which may leach harmful chemicals.
