snowman soup
Snowman soup in a mug

Snowman soup is a fun gift that kids can put together themselves, from about age 4 and up. An adult will need to print off the tag but the kids can either draw or find the snowman picture to put on the little poem.

 Snowman Soup

 Ingredients:
1 package hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey Kisses (buttons)
7 mini chocolate chips (smile, eyes & nose)
9 mini-marshmallows (snow men)
1 small candy cane (cane and stirring stick)

Instructions:
Assemble ingredients a gift bag, gift mug or small zipper food storage bag
and attach one of these poems:

Was told you've been real good this year
Always glad to hear it

With freezing weather drawing near

You'll need to warm the spirit

So here's a little Snowman Soup

Complete with stirring stick

Just add hot water, sip it slow

It's sure to do the trick!

When the weather outside is frightful,
Snowman Soup can be delightful.
May it warm your spirit and your soul.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
When you feel a chill or 'burrrrrr',

Use the peppermint stick to stir.
Add hot water and sip it slow.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.

These are really easy to do in an assembly format. Cute cups can be found at the dollar store or on sale at places like Walgreens where they had Christmas cups for 2/$1.00.
