Cinco de Mayo is six months away and the Wall Street Cantina wants to celebrate it. So grab those sombreros, glue on the faux staches and don the multicolored Wal-Mart poncho and celebrate this pretend holiday that celebrates a mostly “pretend” holiday.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates an obscure Mexican general’s equally obscure victory over the French at Puebla. An unofficial and relatively uncelebrated holiday in Mexico, it has become, via the auspices of the Corona company and a league of tequila distillers, a huge day of celebration in the United States.

It is a day to drink some Mexican beer, eat the best variety of food on the planet (in this humble author’s opinion) and celebrate all things Mexican.

So grab some amigos and head to Wall Street Cantina Thursday Nov. 5th from 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM and buy a chica a margarita or swig down a Corona or two with the nearest gringo.

Drink Specials
