The boys of summer played all year, battling through 162 games with one objective, one goal.  Shoulders were torn, hamstrings pulled and ankles sprained, all to achieve a dream held since the bat was first hoisted on youthful shoulders and a ball first slapped into an old leather glove. The World Series is the prize and for the eight teams to reach the “second season” everything begins anew.

The camaraderie, community and fellowship of America’s Game are not something to be enjoyed alone. This game can unite a city, bring disparate cliques together as one and when victory is won, bring elation to a fandom unlike any other. This is the Major League Baseball playoffs. These are the places to watch.

The Clubhouse on Pine St.
Often considered downtown Orlando’s premiere sports bar, The Clubhouse has just about everything a baseball fanatic could dream of. Dozens of TVs, a wall of beers and an ample menu of bar staples is just the beginning. Friendly rivalries abound, as staff and patrons alike yell, taunt and holler over their favorite teams. The beer is cold, the servers sport tiny shorts and knee-high socks and the games are always on. Come visit, scarf down a few sliders and cheer your team to victory.

Wall Street Cantina
A venerable elder of the downtown bar scene, Wall Street Cantina survives the ravages of the years by remaining true to its core. It sloughs aside the trendy, the vogue and the soon to disappear by keeping it simple. The Cantina has good food (try the tacos,) tasty beverages and a rabid sports fandom. Sidle up to the bar, or chill on the patio. Either way homers will be launched, catches will be made and one team will hoist the trophy overhead and lay claim to the title of world champion.

Ember
In its short existence Ember has managed to do what most other high concept establishments fail to do. They have thrived. Ember is a bar-going experience unique in downtown Orlando. It has become the hip, nouveau joint that attracts a wide clientele, and welcomes them all. Its décor reminds one of old Italian movies, its staff combines beauty with talent in a manner rarely seen in this town and it unexpectedly triumphs as a venue for sports.
