Engulfed in the mass media frenzy or how best to spend a supposedly limited income, a recurring epiphany can occur. Clearly, one of the best ways to utilize the dollars invested in this and cities across the nation is to visit your local skatepark. Billions of dollars in concrete have been poured throughout these states and countless hours spent rolling in the seas of bowls, banks and so much more. In taking an uncharacteristic over-enthusiastic view, perhaps these are some of the things that make members of our society content, or some of us, nonetheless. To dive right off the deep end, perhaps thoughts like these went through the heads of those blue boys in DC, when they included a waterpark in Florida in the Economic Stimulus Plan? But, boys, water parks are more expensive to maintain... hint?
I choose to forget about the real Superbowl and check out the super bowls and more at the new Parker skate park. The beautiful panorama above depicts the nearly perfect bowl section. Flow and speed are nearly effortless as Parker's walls whip you into shape. The pictured section dumps out to a fun-filled, pool coping vert section encompassing a steep central pyramid. And there's more, so very much more.
Instead of attempting to describe in my flowery ways the erupting volcano atop, the ledges and manual pads, the signature Colorado flag mountain range quarter-pipe, I invite you to take the time to visit this new gem. But not tomorrow. Please watch your Superbowl and eat chicken wings and let me play all day.
