Jaliscos offers some of the best Mexican (they call it "Jalisco style") food in Alice. You will find it packed at lunch and dinner. Amongst Jalisco's amenities: the only Mexican food drive through window in town, a happy hour from 5-9, a vast array of items to choose from on the menu, breakfast is served all day here, consistently pleasant service, comfortable and casual seating, and the best sweet iced tea in town.
Most all lunch and dinner plates range in price from $7 - $8.75. Lunch burritos are only $3.95. The variety here is mind boggling. You'll find everything on the menu from enchiladas to crispy tacos, chalupas, burritos, nachos, home made tortillas (or at least they sure look and taste home made!), spicy shrimp, shrimp cocktail, chiles rellenos, carne asada, fajitas, menudo, cow tongue, tripas, and much more. Just in case you don't feel like Mexican food, they offer chicken fried steak or homestyle hamburgers. My personal favorites from this establishment are their chicken enchiladas and the chicken flautas meal (#17) for only $6.99. Kids meals are offered at about 1/2 the price of entrees ($3.79). If you care for an alcoholic beverage, happy hour is 5-9pm and often you'll find the sweet drinks such as frozen Pina Colada or Margaritas on special for bargain prices.
The employees seem happy here and I always see the same people working here so I presume the management is good. Be sure to tip your waitress/waiter - they work really hard here! Don't forget to ask for a refill on your iced tea and a to go cup. It's so good, you'll want to take some with you.
Do not be confused and go to the WRONG Jaliscos ...There is another one just up the road and quite honestly, you will be quite upset with their food if you accidentally wander into the wrong one. This one is just across the street from Sonic and Sutherlands Hardware store.
