This weekend's Saturday Night Live ultimately didn't live up to the hype for me, but I don't blame that on Taylor Swift, the night's host and musical guest.
The opening parody of a Fox News recap of the week's elections was brilliant, and Swift's monologue that followed was something she should truly be proud of. From that point forward, though, the show's writing just seemed to fall flat.
There were a handful of funny moments, but none funnier than anything in the first 15 minutes.
If you missed it Saturday night, Taylor Swift's monologue featured a song where she pokes fun at her ex-boyfriend, winks to her current beau, and gives Kanye a sharp jab in the ribs. It's worth seeing, and definitely one of SNL's season highlights!
