Court documents released Tuesday place the cost of Michael Jackson's private family funeral at roughly $1 million, according to the Associate Press.
Jackson's mother, brother Randy, and sister Janet were directly tied to the planning of the Sept. 3 funeral, which was held more than two months after his death on June 25.
Jackson's estate administrators granted the King of Pop's mother, Katherine Jackson, the $1 million needed to cover costs including burial, flowers, cars, security and a post-funeral dinner.
The private ceremony was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.
The public memorial, held July 7 at the downtown Staples Center, cost the City of Los Angeles an estimated $1.1 for security and law enforcement.
