Just a couple days after writing about an innovative use of Google Wave for conferences, I got to help start one!
I will be attending, the Defrag Conference 2009 here in my hometown of Denver. (First time I'll be attending a conference by light rail instead of by airplane or car!)
While most of what I'll be covering for Defrag will be on my New Technology section here on Examiner, I will be covering any Wave-related angles here.
And just to make sure that there are some Wave-related angles, I created the angle by creating the Defragcon wave. (You do need to be using Wave to be able to make that link work, sorry.)
This conference is already quite different from most conferences, but I'm hoping the addition of a Wave will make it more accessible for others and make the conference itself a bit more productive in creating a new social media while also talking about new social media.
I don't know if that will happen, but it will be interesting to watch this week either way!
If you have a news tip or story idea about Wave, well, I'm like a waiter: I live on the tips. Contact me on Sco.tt, or in Wave on "scodtt" or via Twitter using the button below.
Also, be sure to grab the RSS feed or subscribe to my email using the buttons above so you can get all the very best in Google Wave news and analysis from a non-technical perspective.
