The 12th annual Lake County Folk Festival is taking place in historic downtown Eustis October 10th and 11th. Admission is free to this family oriented event. Along the lakefront in Ferran Park will be Music, art, vendors, and children’s activities. Music venues hosting some of Florida’s best musicians will be scattered though out the downtown businesses.
There will be a Friday night kick off concert at the McClelland Band Shell in Ferran Park at 7:30pm. Performing will be Eustis native Tom McKinney and his band, The Redeye Ramblers. Fulfilling a dream of Tom’s to play in the historic band shell. He is also in town to receive honors for his contribution to the community’s cultural history by the Lake Eustis Historical Museum.
The festival begins at 10:00am until 5pm on Saturday. 11:00am till 4:00pm for Sunday’s performances. There is a special Evening of Music at the historic State Theater, home of the Bay Street Players. The concert will begin at 7:30pm on Saturday featuring some of the Festival’s favorite performers. While the day time concerts are free of charge this special performance requires a $10.00 donation at the door. This donation will help offset the cost of the free festival. All concerts at the State Theater and other venues during regular festival hours are free of charge.
