True psycho Joseph Edward Duncan III has been sentenced to death by an Idaho jury.

It's not Seattle news, but its northwest and I have to write about a truly sick man like Duncan.  Duncan kidnapped a pair of children after murdering the rest of their family, then kept the two captive for months in the woods of Idaho in order to torture them sexually, emotionally and physically before murdering one of the children, 9-year-old Dylan with a close-range gun shot to the head.  Dylan's sister survived the torture after a Denny's employee recognized the pair and contacted authorities.

Duncan's fate was sealed after jurors were allowed to see a video of him torturing young Duncan, making him perform a sexual act, then choking the boy into unconcsiouosness with a wire noose.  Jurors wept during the video and, a few days later, made the right decision in sentencing Duncan to death.

The death sentence is a flawed practice that I find many faults with, but, when it comes to demented molester/murderers like Duncan, it can't happen soon enough.  Duncan deserves to die for his crimes.  The only shame is that he won't have to suffer the same torture as his victims.

Duncan is suspected in a number of other brutal murders, including the murders of two Seattle girls in 1996 and another case in California.
