I really couldn't believe this one when I first read it, but the facts of it just made me sick.  It seems an area dentist, who already had 10 lawsuits pending against him and was reprimanded in a patients death, botched a breast reduction surgery he was in no way qualified to perform.

Thomas Laney performed breast reduction surgery on a 15-year-old Kirkland girl who was looking to get rid of back and neck pains.  Laney, who is still practicing in Moses Lake, botched the surgery so badly that the woman is now dealing with permanent scars and constant pain.

How Laney is still allowed to practice is beyond me.  Shouldn't the mere fact that he performed breats reduction surgery when he's a freaking oral surgeon enough to deem this guy unsafe?

Laney is a prime example of a medical boards failure.  This many complaints and the guy is still practicing. Unbelievable.  I hope this now 18-year-old woman is successful in her lawsuit with the hope that it will finally make Laney pay for his crimes.

Here's a link to the original story the P-I filed about Laney in 2005.  It's a long read, but really shows you the dangerous mind behind Laney's actions.
