The full of beans turkey is always a favorite with the kids.  Mainly because they are using their favorite art supply, GLUE!  Glue is always a hit in my art center.  They can have loads of fun just gluing a piece of paper on top of another and another and another.  They will never end of making anything but a stack of papers.  Glue is just plain fascinating to children and they can play with it for hours.  So forget the lavender to soothe your child, buy a bottle of glue and some paper instead.

What you'll need:

  • Glue
  • Cardboard square
  • Different kinds of beans
  • Dry spaghetti
  • Brown yarn

How to make it:

  1. Trace you hand onto the cardboard square
  2. Make a glue outline on the traced hand
  3. Put the yarn onto the glue outline of the hand and connect the ends
  4. Spread the glue all over the inside of the yarn
  5. Glue the beans on any way you would like
  6. Break about two 1 inch spaghetti pieces and four 1/2 inch pieces, glue them onto the bottom for the feet
  7. Glue a red bean on for the wattle

The finished project looks really cute framed if you want to keep it for years to come.
