Japan has once again taken the forefront in technology--when it comes to zombie defense.

Some Japanese funeral homes are installing card readers on their crypts.

Although most people in Japan are cremated (an excellent example of a simple and vastly effective zombie deterrent on a country-wide scale) spaces for buried remains are limited and expensive.

The card activated system brings the remains from a sort of internal cadaver filing cabinet to the bereaved for quicker visitation.

The card system also has the added advantage of being more difficult for uncoordinated droolers to utilize, as they often can not master fine motor function, or even remember where they card is located.
