Brooksville-based CaSHP Homes purchased the Cascades at Southern Hills community, following a bankruptcy court approval, after Levitt & Sons went under 2 years ago. The 145-vacant lots, 14 model homes, and remaining inventory homes in this active-adult community, located just south of Cortez Blvd (SR-50) between Wiscon Road and Powell Road off of US-41, had been in limbo since its original developer, Levitt and Sons, filed for bankruptcy in November of 2007.
CaSHP Homes has brought on Madison Real Estate Group, LLC to manage & market the community and oversee the operations of the sales center. Company officials say they will continue to move forward aggressively in an effort to sell the remaining 15 homes & 145 vacant lots. Several of the 15 remaining homes are fully furnished model homes, which feature many upgrades and gas appliances. Prices will start at $168,750.
Madison Real Estate Group took on this project with a "full-steam-ahead" approach. It reopened the Cascades sales center with new signage and began introducing the community to local Realtors & homeowners alike. With a large turnout at the first Broker-Open, the company has already sold 8 of its homes!
