Bail has been set at $250,000 for a Cicero cop accused of stealing from a charity that benefits fellow officers.

Prosecutors allege that 46 year old Gerald Bossolono, a Cicero cop, stole $71,854 from the Cicero Police Benevolent Association.  They allege that he committed this crime by writing 39 checks to pay personal expenses between March 2007 and June 2008, during his tenure as the organization's treasurer.  Bossolono faces up to 7 years on this felony charge, and the judged set his bail at $250,000 today.  The judge noted that he should have no problem making bail, as Bosolono's wife recently won $2,000,000 in the lottery.
