Happy Aloha Thursday. Remember, Aloha is in the heart, not the weather report.
 

In the past week, robberies continue to dominate the police blotters, confirming what we already knew: times are bad. Maybe bad times are making criminals angry, too, with all those stabbings.
 

Take a look at that hot prowl report on the Oct. 29 report. Don't know what a hot prowl is? It's usually when you realize that a burglar or rapist is creeping around your home. Hot prowlers thrive on thrills, so they can be very dangerous. Cops say if you feel a hot prowl is happening run outside to call for help. If you don't have an exit, hide. Hey, there's a good reason not to store junk under the bed.
 

It's a jungle out there. So when I say "stay safe" this weekend I really mean it.


Wednesday, 11/4/09:
Robbery with knife, Dolores Park. An unknown number of suspects robbed the victim of property. The victim was stabbed. Non-life-threatening injury; no arrest.
Stabbing in the Tenderloin. Two Hispanic male suspects got into altercation with a black male victim. One of the suspects stabbed victim. Non-life-threatening injury; no arrest.
Robbery with gun, 300 block of 10th St. Unknown number of suspects pistol-whipped a victim and stole wallet. Non-life-threatening injury; no arrest.


Tuesday, 11/3/09:
Robbery with gun, 2000 block of 20th St. Two black male suspects robbed liquor store employee of cash from register. No injury or arrest.
Stabbing, 2400 blk. San Bruno. Hispanic male suspect stabbed two Hispanic male victims inside club. Club security detained suspect. Non-life-threatening injuries; arrest made.


Monday, 11/2/09:
Commercial robbery w/ gun, 7th/Lincoln. Black male suspect brandished a gun at business employee and demanded money. Victim complied and suspect fled southbound on 7th Ave. on foot. No injury or arrest.
Home invasion robbery, 100 blk. Appleton. Two black male suspects confronted black male victim on street and ordered him to his residence, locked him in a room and ransacked the house. No injury or arrest.


Sunday, 11/1/09:
Shooting, Kirkwood/Dormitory. Unknown suspect(s) shot black male victim on street. Non-life-threatening injury; no arrest.


Friday, October 30, 2009:
Stabbing, 300 block of Leavenworth. The victim and one Hispanic male suspect were drinking when a verbal argument ensued. Suspect produced a knife and stabbed victim in the stomach and thigh. No arrest made. Victim was transported to SFGH with non-life threatening injuries.


Thursday, October 29, 2009:
Hot Prowl Burglary, 900 block of Eddy. Suspect 1, white female, broke into an apartment in senior citizen housing while white male Suspect 2, acted as a look-out. Both were arrested. No injuries.
Stabbing, Market & Franklin. Suspect 1, a black male, walked up to victim and stabbed victim for unknown reason. No arrest made. Victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
