November 11 is Veteran's Day and if you are an active U.S. Military family, you will be able to enjoy a free day at NorthWest Trek Wildlife Park near Eatonville, Washington. From 9.30 a.m. - 3.00 p.m. the park will open its gates to you for free on Military Recognition Day.
Enjoy a tram ride across 723 acres of lakes, meadows, forest and trails roamed by more than 200 North American animals including bison, elk, and big horn sheep. Walk forest trails to see predators including grizzlies, black bears, wolves, coyotes, bobcats, cougars and wolverines in fenced exhibits. The park is proud of its rare wolverine kit born May 21, 2009.There are five miles of nature trail to enjoy and kids will have fun with hands-on experiences at the Cheney Family Discovery Center.
