TJ Walker

Here's a publicity event that you gotta love.

TJ Walker is a media coach to CEOs, goverment officials and anybody else that wants to peform well giving speeches or appearing on TV. He's a frequent guest himslef on national TV news and broadcast shows.

His new book is TJ Walker's Secret to Foolproof Presentations, written with Jess Todtfeld.

On June 1, they are going to attempt to set the world's record for appearing on the most radio talk shows in one day.

This creative approach to getting publcity is helping them in two ways. First, they get to promote the book directly by appearing on the shows and they get to promote it indirectly by the buzz created from the event.

As part of this promotion, they are using a principle that I've espoused several times, in articles and in my book: think about what's in it for the journalist/talk show host.  Part of TJ's pitch to the radio shows was that they themselves would get publicity from the event.

He's published a list of radio stations the pair will appear on. If you're within range of any of them, and want to learn how to give great presentations, give a listen.

Here's the list.
