The James Beard Award nominations are in and Seattle is well-represented in the Best Chef, Northwest category. Word on the street is...you don't actually want to win.  Restaurants get massive exposure from being nominated year after year.    Joseba Jimenez de Jimenez is back on the list, and this year is nomination #3 for Maria Hines.  Rounding out the Seattle chefs, this is year #2 for both Ethan Stowell and Jason Wilson. 

What say you, Seattle?  Who deserves to win?  And more importantly, why?

Note: Tom Douglas is nominated again for the overall Best Chef Category and the PI's Rebekah Denn is in the running for Best Newspaper Feature with Recipes for her piece, "High on the Hairy Hogs: Super-Succulent Imports are Everything U.S. Pork Isn't."
