Local writer Molly Wizenberg, author of the wildly popular food blog, Orangette (www.orangette.blogspot.com) speaks tomorrow at the University of Washington Book Store.  Wizenberg's work is reminiscent of the legendary culinary writer, MFK Fischer and the London Times just named Orangette the#1 food blog in the world.

Tuesday, Wizenberg will read from her book, "A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table".

Like millions of others, I've long been a fan of Molly's blog. Her book captures that same essence, artfully weaving memoir and food with 50 utterly delicious recipes. On a long and lazy afternoon, I read the book cover to cover.  In light of the economy gloom & doom, it was the perfect feel-good antidote.  I laughed, I cried, and through her well-crafted stories, drew some reassurances that every day life goes on...and all will be right with the world.
