Coffee cupping at Caffe Vita
What makes a great cup of coffee?
From the look of the frothy crema, to the heady aroma wafting from the cup, and finally, the roasted flavor coaxed from the bean...coffee cupping is a highly sensual experience.
Before the raw beans are purchased, a small sample is prepared for the buyer. Loud, raucous slurping--designed to maximize air across your palate, pierces the air in a cacophony that would send Miss Manners to her knees. But this is coffee cupping...and it's expected.
And this week, you can give it a whirl.

Wednesday, September 24th @ Fremont
Thursday, September 25th @ Olympia
Friday, September 26th @ Capitol Hill
All cuppings begin at 2:00pm.
