CBS to give Three Rivers a new time slot this following Sunday. Cold Case and Three Rivers are switching places to see if either show will improve in the ratings with the temporary change.
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
The one-time scheduling switch comes as rumors circulate that CBS is contemplating an additional script order for "Three Rivers" (two) and possibly even ordering additional episodes (five). The network may be waiting for nationals to come in tomorrow for Sunday's episode (which hit a season high in the preliminary ratings) before making a decision.
Perhaps with this surprising decision by CBS, the struggling series will find a way to survive. This week's episode "The Luckiest Man" had the highest ratings ever, and with the change maybe Three Rivers will be able to repeat the success with even higher ratings. That's what CBS is hoping anyway.
Three Rivers usually airs Sundays on CBS at 9/8 c. This next Sunday, Cold Case will air in the earlier slot, while Three Rivers will run at 10/9 c instead.
Sound off Below: Do you think this is a good move on the part of CBS? Do you think the ratings will go up, giving both shows a chance for survival? If you haven't been watching Three Rivers, do you think you will give the show a chance in this new time slot?
