Will the time come when Americans are no longer charmed by Obama's personality and realistically look at the debt that he is piling on them for generations to come?

According to the latest Rasmussen poll (02/21/2009) "overall, 57% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far while 41% disapprove. This marks the President’s lowest overall rating to date and only the third time his ratings have dipped below 60% since taking office. It remains to be seen whether this modest decline represents lasting change or is merely statistical noise."

Every day the public sees more bailouts and may beginning to realize that it will eventually come out of their pockets. Millions, billions and trillions are hard to comprehend but the fact that each American now owes over $35,000 and eventually it will be called in as taxes may eventually dawn on them.

Americans are known to be short on patience and all signs continue to point to the highest unemployment in decades, little if any income growth, a deficit that is growing at the rate of trillions a year and a stock market keeps sinking in response to the Obama economic packages. Will they still be tolerate of the stimulus packages, bailouts, foreclosure forgiveness for people who, in many cases, originally could not afford the homes bought?

Now there are whispers about deflation as wary buyers hoard their cash or hyperinflation due to the printing presses of the government pouring out money which may seriously damage the worth of the American dollar.

Those who voted for Obama and did not carefully read his economic plans may remain under his spell for a while longer.  Others who understood how deeply he and the Democratic Congress would increase the deficit are not surprised.  When will the American public say, "Enough already?"
