Carter Caves State Resort Park is hosting a dinner theater that is sure to bring back memories and provide a lot of laughs for guests. “The HoneyMurderers” – a spoof of the television show “The Honeymooners” – will be presented this Saturday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the park near Olive Hill.

Ralph and Ed think they’ve pulled a fast one by ditching their wives to attend the yearly Raccoon Lodge convention. However Alice and Trixie are wise to their tricks and make it to the convention in time to confront them. Soon they all wish they had stayed home when someone is murdered. Even members of the audience become suspects when Fantastical Theatricals presents this zany spoof of the Honeymooners.

The dinner and show is $34.95 + tax per person. The park is offering a package with the dinner and show and lodging for $127.90 + tax for two people.

For more information or to make a reservation, call (800) 325-0059.

As the name suggests, the park is home to several caves among them are Bat Cave, the largest cave in the park and home to an estimated 40,000 Indiana bats; Saltpetre Cave, a dry cave (no stream) that produced gunpowder during the War of 1812; X Cave, the most popular cave for visitors and filled with interesting stalactites and stalagmites; and Cascade Cave, with a beautiful 30 foot underground waterfall. The park also has several natural bridges including Smokey Bridge, the largest natural bridge in Kentucky and the only natural bridge in the state with a paved road on top.

In addition to the caves, facilities at the park include Lewis Caveland Lodge constructed with fieldstone and with 28 rooms each with a private balcony or patio overlooking the surrounding woodlands, cottages, campground, Tierney’s Cavern Restaurant with seating for 100, picnic areas, golf course, miniature golf, and a large outdoor pool.

Carter Caves State Resort Park is located in east central Kentucky near Olive Hill on KY-182. From I-64, take exit #161 to US-60 east. Go approximately two miles and turn left onto KY-182 north.
