MEGAN FOX

Megan Denise Fox was born on May 16th, 1986 -- she is an American film actress and model.  She first came to prominence in Michael Bay’s 2007 live-action film adaptation of the cult-hit animated series Transformers.

Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to Darlene Tonachio and Franklin Foxx (who dropped the extra x from his name prior to Megan's birth), Megan spent her formative years in Rockwood, Tennessee.  At the age of five, Megan began her training in drama and dance.  Shortly after moving to St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of ten, Megan attended Morningside Academy, a private Christian school in Port St. Lucie -- she finished her high school education at St. Lucie West Centennial High School.

When Megan was sixteen, she began acting and modeling.  In 1999, she won a number of awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

In 2001, Megan made her film debut in Holiday in the Sun -- she played opposite Ashley Olsen as spoiled heiress Brianna Wallace.  A few notable television appearances came next, including shots on Ocean Ave., What I Like About You, and Two and a Half Men.  In 2004, Megan appeared with Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.  Between 2004 and 2006, Megan was cast in her first recurring role in a TV series, that of Sydney Shanowski on Hope and Faith.

But the role that truly brought her to the forefront of media attention was that of Shia LaBeouf’s love interest, Mikaela Barnes, in 2007’s Transformers.  Megan didn’t exactly look like a typical high school girl, but adolescent boys (of all ages) cared not.  Next came a role in the ensemble comedy How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, with Jeff Bridges, Simon Pegg and Kirsten Dunst.

Magazine spreads in FHM, GQ, and Maxim made Megan one of the most popular pin-up girls in years.  Many have noticed the numerous tattoos Megan has etched on her financially-lucrative skin -- there are (to date) a total of seven -- the most famous of which is a quote from Shakespeare’s King Lear on her right shoulder blade that reads, “We will all laugh at gilded butterflies.” Among the rest are: a poem on her ribcage, a symbol for strength on her neck, (boyfriend) Brian Austin Green's name on her hip, a bull's eye on her lower back, a pink flamingo on her upper thigh, and a picture of Marilyn Monroe's face on her right arm.

Up next for the actress: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (she is signed for two sequels) and Jennifer’s Body, a Diablo Cody scripted horror film about a possessed cheerleader.
