Hey y'alls. I just got an important note in my email from Rodney Henry, aka the Pie Man -- Dangerously Delicious Pies, Baltimore's premiere pie shoppe (perhaps, Baltimore's only pie shop) is celebrating six years in the pie business with a glamorous event... Pie Style '09. According to my email notification...

"LIVE MUSIC-LOADS OF PIE -- ANNUAL 'PIE EATING FOR SPEED' COMPETITION -- DEBUT OF WAYLON'S SUPERSTAR ICE CREAM -- BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY. THIS IS A B.Y.O.B PARTY. WE'LL BE SHUCKING OYSTERS. ITS GOING TO BE A BLAST"

If you've never had a DDP pie, you're in for a real treat. This is a 100% handmade pie with very fresh, delicious ingredients. I am a fan of every pie of his I've ever tasted, with Blueberry, Key Lime and, well, I guess all of 'em being my faves! Too hard to choose.

The pie man is not kidding, this is going to be a good time. Grab yer chair and a cooler, as he suggests, and head over to the DDP ground zero in Hampden hungry. Maybe you'll win the PIE EATING FOR SPEED competition. Good luck and Bon Appetit, pie eaters!
