I am aware that this could all change at any moment, as with anything toddler-related, but my girls love food. Lots of different foods. I like to think the fact that I present them with a wide variety of tasty treats and don't make assumptions about what they will like and will not like makes this possible.

Almost every day, we sit and watch a little something on the telly before naptime: maybe it is Maisy's Farm, or Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham or The Sneetches, or Goodnight Moon. Don't worry -- we only started watching little bits of video after they turned two -- I know it junks up the little brains to watch stuff too early. For that matter, it junks up big brains if too much is watched as well! But I digress... we sit together, enjoy a snack/lunch plate, watch a dvd or video, and chill before naptime.

Give 'em food that tastes good! The selection above is as follows:

  • strawberries
  • turkey sandwich meat
  • hummus (homemade, of course!)
  • avocado
  • bread with peanut butter
  • veggie sticks

They frequently clear the plate. Both girls are interested in trying new foods, too. Try something colorful for lunch today.
P.S. It's not such a bad way for grown-ups to eat either!
