Hey,
In my last article, I wrote about making the perfect date happen. Here's that tip as well as others:
Don't try to impress -- Don't try to impress another person with your abilities, wealth, or some other quality about you. You'll come off as arrogant and intimidating.
Don't be something you're not -- I think it's better for someone to like you for who you are than who you are not. An act of pretending to be someone else can only be held up for so long, so once the charade falls, your true colors will show and it may change the other person's opinion on you.
Have fun, with or without the other person -- Your fun should not be reliant on another person. The key idea is that there's a low amount of investment involved. If this is an early date, then there should be little investment on either party. But if you've been lovebirds for a while, feel free to invest in each other for the investment has been earned.
Stay upbeat -- A good date is not your personal therapist. A good date is someone who enjoys your company.
Don't follow a routine -- Be spontaneous. Prepare for things to not go as plan since usually they don't.
Remember to end it -- All good things must come to an end. Don't forget to end the date on a positive note and leave your date wanting more.
The best way to go out on a date is not to make it a date at all; rather, make it an invitation. Find something fun and interesting to do, such as go to an art gallery or listen to a local band, and invite your potential date along. If he accepts, then you can share the experience together. If not, then you can have a good time and possibly find a new date at the venue.
