Thanks to a reader, I have just learned of a family that had sextuplets on October 6, 2008 in Queens, New York.
Victor and Digna Carpio, parents to one older child, were exstatic about their new bundles of joy and kept them out of the media until they new the babies were stable. The sextuplets were born at 25 weeks, which is three months early, and weighing in at about a pound and a half each. All six are at home safe and healthy as can be.
Victor Carpio works with the New York Housing Authority as a Maintenance worker.
Why am I writing about a family that nobody new about? This family is hard working and needs help with donations of non-monetary means. Tony Avella, a local City Council member, has set up a donation site at his office for the family. I am pleading with the American population to help this good family out and send anything they can. I do stress that they do not want money. They want items that they can use for the children that are in good working condition.
You can call 718-747-2137 for any information or if you live in the New York city area for pickup.
