The injuries just won't stop in the NHL! This might be a bit extreme, but have we thought about throwing somebody into a volcano? I don't know who or what volcano, I'm a big picture guy, but let's give it a shot.
Evgeni Malkin will miss two to three weeks with a shoulder injury. You may know Malkin from his work as one of the best players in the league, and last year's Art Ross winner. At least he's not out a terribly long time, but the league, and the Penguins, will certainly miss him.
Fortunately for Pittsburgh they have Sidney Crosby to shoulder the load with Malkin and Gonchar out. They won last nice handily against Montreal with Crosby getting a hat trick, so that's a good start. The Penguins will be fine and they'll make the playoffs even without one of their best players, and one of the best players in the NHL, for a few weeks.
That's all for now, and hopefully we can work this whole human sacrifice thing out before injury strikes again.
