Chris Tomasson of the Rocky says the move could end up saving the Nuggets between $16-$22.5 million dollars, which is obviously important, but dang, if I want to hear about money problems, I'll turn on CNBC. I'm getting tired of the Nuggets payroll issues.
When are the Nuggs going to do something exciting this off-season? With big question marks at point guard, and now at the center position, they have to bring someone in, right? Or maybe they'll just keep trimming the payroll and hope that, somehow, less talent (or less expensive talent) will equal more success. Hmm... that's crazy enough that it just might work.
....But I doubt it.
UPDATE
My morning-after realization: By dealing Najera and Camby, the Nuggets have left themselves exactly one player who's proven capable of playing serious lockdown defense - Kenyon Martin. Frightening.
