Don't stop believing

Things are looking a little down for the boys in purple. They've lost seven straight, twelve straight on the road (a franchise low), they own the league's worst record (20-37), and they are among the bottom ten teams in the following statistical categories:
- Team ERA (5.04, 29th in the league)
- Hits allowed (552, 27th)
- Walks allowed (229, 27th)
- Batting Average Against (.275, 26th)
- Runs scored (240, 22nd)
- Runs Batted In (230, 21st)
- Batting Average (.255, 21st)

Though the odds appear to be stacked against the Rox and a playoff run may seem a Sisyphean task at this point, I can't bring myself to write an obituary just yet. If they can crank out 21 wins in a 22 game stretch, they deserve one last chance. Right? So rather than giving up and moving on, let's rally behind our Rockies and give them a final push over the hump (okay, hump may be an understatement). Don't stop believing....
